1. The general criterion for promotion is that a pupil has grasped the subject-matter of his/ her present class sufficiently to follow the subject in the higher class.
2. Continuous assessment of daily application of work and discipline will be taken into account for promotion to the next class.
3. At the end of the school year, only those students who pass on their year’s performance will be promoted. A student, who, due to illness (at confirming its authenticity/seriousness) is unable to sit for the final examination, but whose yearly record is good, MAY be promoted on the basis of record/performance.
4. Result declared at the end of the year will be final. There will be no re-consideration, no re-tests held.
5. No appeal for promotion of a student declared as having failed or detained, will be entertained.
6. No student will be allowed to sit in the same class for more than two years. He/ she will have to discontinue his/ her studies in the school.
7. If a student, who has failed in a class, absents himself / herself for five days or more, his/ her name is likely to be struck off the rolls.
8. All classes, where doubts regarding promotions exist, are left entirely to the Principal, and his decision is final. |
